Sick with "telling rather than showing" and editing that needs much, much - MUCH - more work, it seems the Hollywood Illness of desperately-rushing-to-please-the-public-whim-and-quickly-push-stories-that-appease-the-fads-paraded-in-media has infected publishers and misleads them from seeking original literary voices.
